ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Medical Radiation Technologists to join our team in full-time, part-time and casual positions at MedRay Imaging. The ideal candidate will have a background in General Radiography and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. Experience in Screening Mammography is a plus but not required. You will work closely with the GenRad Team and report directly to the GenRad Manager.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with MedRay departmental protocol and standards, as well as the established standards and practices of the CAMRT and observing safe radiation protection practices.
  • Performs related clinical duties and participates as a GenRad and MedRay team member to ensure safe and efficient workflow and patient service.
  • Receive and complete requisitions, enter relevant data into the radiology information system, operate computerized imaging equipment, archive acquired data, monitor patients during procedures, monitor equipment and maintain cleanliness of examination rooms.

REQUIREMENTS:

§ Advanced computer skills, experience with radiology applications such as PACS and RIS. (asset)

§ High-level understanding of medical imaging systems.

§ Experience in a relevant clinical setting.

§ Flexibility with days and hours of work, as they may change based on operational requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong expertise in General Radiography.
  • Ability to perform Screening Mammography (training available).
  • Effective communication skills to influence diverse audiences and build trust.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and diplomacy in all interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

EDUCATION AND DESIGNATION

§ Graduate of a recognized training program with current registration in the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).

§ Completion of CAMRT Breast Imaging I course.
