Job summary

Carrier Sekani Family Services in Vanderhoof or Fraser Lake is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to support the primary care team, manage patient scheduling, and maintain confidential records in MOIS.

You will assist with point-of-care measurements, liaise with communities and health staff, and contribute to proactive care while upholding privacy standards and a respectful, culturally aware workplace.

Qualifications

  • Medical Office Assistant certificate or Office administration certificate with two years in a medical office.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

  • Schedule patient appointments and assist the primary care team and professional staff in managing face to face, telehealth schedules and client activity.

  • Assist the physician or NP by having a well-prepared patient, treatment room and helping to provide proactive care.

What You Will Bring To The Role

Wage Range:

The target hiring range for this position is $26.4408 to $34.2415 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
