Job summary

WELL Health Clinic Networks Inc. in Calgary is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to support physicians in delivering excellent patient care in a fast-growing clinic.

You will coordinate patient care, perform administrative tasks, and assist with basic lab duties while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

The role requires a high school diploma, experience with TELUS Med Access, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Proficient experience with TELUS Med Access.
  • A Team Player.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Ability to analyze, problem-solve and take the initiative.
  • Open and accountable.
  • Ability to work varying shift patterns as needed by the clinic.
  • Experience as an MOA or MOA programs certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient care: check-in, prepping, escort to exam rooms.
  • Prepare exam or treatment rooms and answer patient questions.
  • Monitor waiting room and provide post-appointment service.
  • Administrative duties: answer calls, greet patients, schedule appointments, manage referrals, billing.
  • Lab duties: collect and prepare specimens, sterilize instruments.
  • Maintain patient information confidentiality and perform related tasks.

Position Summary:

The Company is currently searching for a motivated team player to join the exciting, fast-growing company. You will be working in a team-based environment to support physicians in delivering excellent patient care. If you love helping people, this job is for you.

What you will be doing:

  • Patient Care duties – Coordinate patient care through the clinic: checking in, prepping, escorting to exam rooms, preparing exam or treatment rooms, answering questions, providing post-appointment service, monitoring the waiting room.
  • Administrative duties - answer calls and greet patients in a helpful, respectful, and efficient manner, schedule appointments, manage referrals, result management and handle billing.
  • Lab Duties - include collecting and preparing laboratory specimens or perform basic laboratory tests on the premises, disposing of contaminated supplies, and sterilize medical instruments.
  • General duties – To ensure to keep patient information confidential and secure at all times. Perform all other related clinical, administrative tasks or special tasks as required by clinic management.

You have:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Proficient experience with TELUS Med Access
  • A Team Player
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
