Job summary

Northern Health in Prince Rupert, BC is seeking a registered Medical Laboratory Technologist to contribute to the Core Lab and Clinical Microbiology sections. The role emphasizes accurate testing, quality control, and effective communication within a dynamic laboratory environment.

Ideal candidates have CSML registration and at least one year of related experience, with ability to work varied shifts in a hospital setting within Northern BC.

  • Graduation from an approved school of Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • Current Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science registration.

Position Summary

Are you a registered Medical Laboratory Technologist looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Laboratory department.

This position requires MLT Core lab and Clinical Microbiology
Shift Rotation/Hours of work:

Days, Evenings - 06:45 to 14:45, 07:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 16:00, 10:00 to 18:00, 15:00 to 23:00, Rotating

Qualfications
  • Graduate of an approved school of Medical Laboratory Technology and current Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science registration.
  • One (1) year recent related experience.
  • Experience in all the above disciplines preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
