Medical Laboratory Technologist

Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Medical Laboratory Department at Arrow Lakes Hospital in Nakusp, BC. Position Summary

We offer a generalist Medical Laboratory Technologist position with interesting and varied work within all areas of Core with some phlebotomy. The Arrow Lakes Hospital (ALH) does not have acute care beds but offers laboratory and radiology; urgent care; outpatient ambulatory care; community services; long‑term residential care services; and doctors’ offices. Typical duties may include performing routine and/or complex tests utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments, collecting and/or receiving specimens, entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), validating/reporting test results, maintaining instruments and preparing solutions and control agents.

Job Type & Schedule

This is a Permanent Full‑Time (1.00) opportunity. Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating days. There is on‑call associated with this position.

Pay Range

Interior Health Authority provided pay range: CA$36.69/hr - CA$45.81/hr

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program
  • Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS
  • One (1) year recent related experience
