About The Role

Canadian Blood Services seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Testing team, responsible for routine testing, blood inventory management, and lab duties, following operational procedures and manufacturer instructions.

Success Factors

• Perform routine maintenance and verification of lab equipment.
• Assist internal and external customers with excellent customer service skills.
• Record and perform quality control activities.
• Maintain technical competency and promote ongoing learning.
• Participate in quality improvement activities with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program with certification or eligibility for certification by CSMLS.
• Current registration or eligibility with CMLTO.
• Preferred: at least one year of experience in Transfusion Medicine and Molecular labs.
• Knowledge of hospital policies, GMP, and laboratory procedures.
• Ability to develop professional relationships and use laboratory software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 15:00, with occasional evenings and weekends.
