A healthcare organization in Canada is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) to assist in sample triaging, accessioning, and processing within the laboratory. Candidates should possess strong communication skills in English, and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. A current satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required. Under the general supervision of the Charge Technologist or designated, the Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) assists the laboratory in sample triaging, accessioning, and specimen processing. The MLA performs basic routine procedures according to established protocols, performs phlebotomies as per departmental policy, and maintains a safe environment in compliance with professional and provincial guidelines and quality assurance programs.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
