Job summary

Western Community College in Surrey, BC is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) instructor for the MLA program to teach laboratory sessions and guide student learning. Qualifications

• Certified Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) in good standing with the CSMLS.
• Minimum 2 years of recent work experience in a laboratory setting.
• Experience teaching is preferred.

With the opening of a new cohort at our Agassiz campus for the Medical Laboratory Assistant program, Western Community College (WCC) invites applications from eligible and experienced MLT candidates for the position of Lab Instructor for this program.

Qualifications:

For teaching Laboratory Sections:

• Certified Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) in good standing with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS), with demonstrated experience working in a laboratory setting (at least 2 years of recent work experience in the field, preferably with teaching experience).

Job Type: Casual position. The instructor will be required to teach each lab session for every cohort. The course schedule may be adjusted based on the instructor’s availability.
