A leading health authority in Canada seeks a Medical Imaging Nurse to join their multidisciplinary team. This role involves assisting in specialized imaging procedures, providing patient care for diverse age groups, and requires post-basic education in critical care and relevant certifications. The ideal candidate will have strong nursing skills, including organizational and judgment abilities, and be committed to maintaining safety and quality in patient care.

Reporting to the Leader or designate, the Medical Imaging Nurse works as part of a multidisciplinary team performing various specialized medical/diagnostic imaging procedures. Responsibilities include assisting with interventional procedures for patients of all ages, including critically ill patients or those attached to life-support equipment, acting as a scrub and circulating nurse, and preparing for fluctuating workloads and unexpected critical situations. The nurse may also be on-call as needed, consults and collaborates with radiologists, surgeons, and technologists, and demonstrates initiative and expertise in nursing best practices.
