Job summary

Lemieux Bédard is seeking a Medical Editor to meticulously edit pharmaceutical and healthcare copy across print and digital media. You will proofread and refine material for accuracy, clarity and regulatory compliance, collaborating with marketing and regulatory teams.

Ideal candidates have a bilingual English/French background, a relevant degree, and editorial experience. A hybrid work arrangement and comprehensive benefits await.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English-related field required; 2+ years editorial experience.
• Bilingual English/French a plus.
• Editing certification preferred in Canada.
• Experience in advertising setting is an asset.
• Translation ability from French to English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Edit and proofread pharmaceutical/healthcare advertising and informational copy.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity and compliance across print and digital materials.
• Collaborate with marketing and regulatory teams to finalize content.
• Translate from French to English when needed.
• Maintain high quality under tight deadlines.

The Medical Editor is responsible for carefully editing and proofreading pharmaceutical/healthcare advertising and informational copy. Material assigned may include print and digital, sales presentations, slide decks, packaging, internal and external company communications, visual aids, social media, websites and more.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts or a higher degree in English literature, linguistics, journalism, or communications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an editor in an in-house or freelance capacity
• Bilingualism (English and French; oral and written) is a plus
• A certificate in professional editing from a Canadian university is preferred
• Certification with Editors’ Association of Canada is an asset
• Ability to translate from French into English is an asset
• Experience in an advertising setting is an asset
