Job summary

Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, Ontario, is seeking a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join the Surgery - MDRD team on a temporary full-time basis.

The role includes decontamination, sterilization and instrument assembly across day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. Candidates should have Grade 12, a Medical Device Reprocessing course, CSA/MDRAO certification, and strong communication and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of grade twelve (12) or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a Medical Device Reprocessing course required.
• Current certification through the CSA or MDRAO (less than 5 years) required, recertification through the CSA or MDRAO required every 5 years.

• Assembly of equipment as required.

• Previous experience in an MDR setting is an asset.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job with or without accommodation (i.e. long periods of standing and/or walking).
• Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality, availability and performance.
