Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is seeking a part-time Medical Device Processing Tech to reprocess reusable medical devices, endoscopes, and supplies. RVH is the largest surgical program in the North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network. (NSM LHIN) As a member of the Medical Devise Reprocessing team the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) will reprocesses all reusable medical devices/equipment, flexible endoscopes and supplies. The MDRT adheres to specific guidelines and standards set by organizations such as CSA (Canadian Standards Association), PIDAC (Provincial Infections Diseases Advisory Committee), and MDRAO (Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Ontario).
The MDRT works in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and accuracy is essential. In this role you will be expected to work within a team environment. working in areas including Scope Reprocessing and Medical Device Reprocessing. The day-to-day activities/priorities change and the MDRT must be flexible and able to adapt with the changing priorities of the Operating Room and clinics within the Healthcare Centre.The MDRT works within the various Medical Device Reprocessing areas to provide reprocessed medical devices and endoscopes for the operating room, endoscopy, surrounding area clinics, and inpatient units. As part of the Part Time Master rotation, the MDRT rotates through day, evening, night, and weekends shifts.
