Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to perform decontamination, sterilization, reassembly, function testing and distribution of medical and/or surgical supplies and instruments for hospital use. The role operates under supervision of the manager or designate in a dynamic environment and supports record-keeping and clerical duties.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, days only, with start times 07:00 or 08:00, depending on the schedule, at our Vanderhoof area facility in

• Experience with decontamination and sterilization of medical devices.
• Ability to perform function testing and assembly of instruments.
• Strong record-keeping and clerical skills in a hospital setting.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position performs a series of detailed technical duties related to the decontamination, sterilization, reassembly, function testing and distribution of medical and/or surgical supplies and instruments for various areas of the hospital; and performs related clerical duties and record keeping.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 07:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 16:00
