Job summary

The Saskatchewan Health Authority in Saskatoon is seeking a Medical Device Reprocessing technician to provide technical expertise and act as a liaison with the Operating Rooms. You will inspect, clean, assemble, test and sterilize surgical instruments and implants, and manage inventory for surgical services.

Casual, permanent position with Pay Band 11; salary between $22.60 and $24.21 per hour, open until filled.

Qualifications

• Experience: One year in a Medical Device Reprocessing department to learn proper procedures.
• Education: Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Certificate of Achievement.
• Competencies: Communication skills, Basic computer skills, Organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, cleans, assembles, tests and sterilizes surgical instruments/implants/equipment for surgeries.
• Orders and maintains implant inventory for surgical services.
