AlgaeCal is seeking a Media Producer who can lead high-impact video shoots, manage crews, and ensure every production aligns with brand messaging. You will travel across North America for documentary-style shoots and collaborate with stakeholders to meet schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in video production with a portfolio that sells.
• Portfolio proving content converts and drives sales.
• Experience with cinema cameras and professional lighting/audio.
• Color grading and sound design proficiency required.
• Familiar with AI video tools and generative workflows.
• Strong marketing psychology and storytelling ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead video shoots with expert camera movement, lighting, and audio capture.

Here’s what you’ll be up to in this busy role:

• Leading video shoots with expert-level mastery of camera movement, on-camera direction, lighting, and audio capture—capturing high-impact visuals that demand attention and drive conversions.
• Travelling to customers homes for documentary-style shoots across North America. We won’t be asking you to live in airports, but definitely aim for a trip every couple of months.
• Acting as the key link between stakeholders and the content team—keeping project goals, schedules, equipment needs, budgets, and feedback crystal clear. No crossed wires, no confusion, just seamless execution.
• Allocating resources—personnel, equipment, and budgets—to maximize efficiency and production quality, making every shot count.
• Ensuring every piece of content stays true to AlgaeCal’s brand identity, messaging, and marketing goals—because consistency isn’t just key, it’s everything.
• Coordinating with external vendors, talent, and freelancers to ensure their contributions seamlessly align with our vision and quality standards.
• Analyzing performance metrics and user testing results to continually refine and enhance video and photographic content—because we’re always trying to do it better!
  

This job might be for you if you’ve got…

• 3-5+ years of dedicated video production experience—bonus points if you’ve got a background in e-commerce.
• A portfolio that proves you can create content that sells.
• You know your way around cameras like Taylor Swift knows her way around breakups––from mirrorless digital cameras to high-end cinema-grade cameras like Sony FX3, Sony FX9, BlackMagic Cinema Cameras, and RED.
• You’re at home with lighting gear like Aputure, Arri, and Lightgear—crafting the perfect look for product photography, live-action shoots, and creative video production that grabs attention and tells a story.
• Yoda-level skills in colour grading and sound design. You know DaVinci Resolve inside and out. And Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) is practically wired into your muscle memory.
• Hands‑on experience with AI video tools and generative workflows. You know how to use AI to manipulate footage, extend plates, upscale shots, generate new visual elements, and speed up post‑production without making the final product look like it was made by a robot. Experience with tools like Veo, Higgsfield, Adobe Firefly, or similar is a big plus.
• A deep understanding of marketing psychology—you don’t just create content; you create content that converts.
• Experience in the health and supplement industry isn’t required, but if you have it, we’ll definitely swoon.
