Job summary

Omnicom Group in Toronto seeks a Manager, Media Operations to run the day-to-day media engine where planning, ad tech and campaign execution converge. You will own workflows from setup through trafficking, budgeting, pacing and reconciliation, while ensuring compliance within a highly regulated financial services environment.

This role partners with planning, investment, finance and analytics and reports to senior operations leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–6 years of experience in media operations, agency operations or media coordination across functions.
  • Prior financial services client experience strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of compliance within highly regulated environments, particularly data, technology and platform decisions for financial services clients.
  • Hands-on experience with the platforms used to run media operations (Google Campaign Manager, Mediaocean, Adobe, and others).
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables and lookups) and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Campaign and workflow management: oversee the full lifecycle of digital and traditional media campaigns, coordinating assets, specs and production timelines.
  • Trafficking and quality assurance: partner on trafficking, tagging, and quality checks to ensure campaigns are set up and measured correctly.
  • Financial and budget operations: manage media budgets, track pacing and actuals, handle billing and reconciliations.
  • Data and reporting: maintain clean data, validate spend and provide clear reports for clients and internal teams.
  • Compliance and governance: maintain client billing and audit procedures, ensure data privacy and platform usage standards.
  • Process documentation: maintain playbooks and onboarding materials.

Job description

The Manager, Media Operations keeps the day-to‑day media engine running. The role sits where media planning, ad tech and campaign execution meet and owns the workflows that move campaigns from setup through trafficking, budget tracking, pacing and reconciliation. The role requires a high degree of rigor and fluency in compliance across the financial services media environment. This person serves as a connective point across planning, investment, finance and analytics and reports into senior operations leadership. The work suits someone who brings order to complex processes, holds a high bar for accuracy, and is steady under deadline pressure.

Core Responsibilities
  • Campaign and workflow management: oversee the full lifecycle of digital and traditional media campaigns, coordinating creative assets, spec sheets and production timelines across internal teams and outside partners. Standardize workflows so they run consistently and efficiently.
  • Trafficking and quality assurance: partner with ad ops, media and marketing science teams on trafficking, taxonomy, naming conventions, pixel and tag setup. Monitor live campaigns and run quality checks, so every campaign is set up, measured, and delivered correctly.
  • Financial and budget operations: collaborate with the planning, investment, finance and marketing science teams to manage media budgets, track pacing and actuals, govern budget revisions and confirm that billing, invoicing and reconciliation are accurate and on time.
  • Data and reporting: work with the marketing science and media teams to maintain clean data, validate spend and produce clear, accurate reporting for client and internal audiences.
  • Compliance and governance: Maintain client billing and audit procedures, brand safety standards and data privacy requirements. Ensure that data, technology and platform usage meet the standards of a highly regulated financial services environment.
  • Process documentation: maintain playbooks, operating procedures, workflow documentation support onboarding and training on tools and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 3 –6 years of experience in media operations, agency operations or media coordination across functions
  • Prior financial services client experience strongly preferred
  • Understanding of compliance within highly regulated environments, particularly how data, technology and platform decisions are governed for financial services clients
  • Working knowledge and hands‑on experience across the platforms used to run media operations (Google Campaign Manager, the Mediaocean suite, Adobe, and others)
  • Strong Excel skills (including pivot tables and lookups) and overall comfort with the MS Office suite
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle several campaigns at once under tight deadlines
  • Clear, thoughtful communicator who works well across teams and levels
  • Detail oriented, highly organized and self‑motivated

Toronto: $70,000-$85,000

Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in‑office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in‑office attendance.
