Qualifications

• Must be able to perform pre-operational inspections on equipment and operate in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must have knowledge of WHMIS legislation and know how to effectively use an MSDS sheet.
• Comply with the Act and Mining Regulations that apply to the work area.
• Pre-employment drug test and medical.

Salary Range: $78,000 - $128,000/annum, range is variable and dependent on overtime worked and production bonus paid

Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, the primary role of the Mechanized Bolter is to inspect existing underground headings, scale loose rocks and install ground support to stabilize rock mass and ensure safety using mechanized bolting equipment.

• Install resin rebar using mechanized bolting equipment
• Install other ground support components as required such as welded wire mesh, straps, cable bolts or swellex
