Position Overview:

The Mechanical Structural Engineer will support the maintenance of aircraft structures and related systems, including interior components, evacuation doors, and windows. The role involves utilizing key DND technical processes such as CMPC, APAF, AICP, and AMAF. The engineer will also support airframe structures and mechanical systems repair and modification projects, liaising with stakeholders like DND, engineering groups, and logistics teams. Certification for Airworthiness Approval Authorization is expected based on experience and training.

What You Will Do:

  • Monitor aircraft structural health.
  • Communicate with DND, OEMs, and design authorities on technical matters.
  • Develop preventative measures, identify trends, and assess fleet impact on flight safety.
  • Support technical meetings and maintenance program activities.
  • Handle service difficulty reports, inspections, and directives.
  • Manage spare and repairable assets disposition.
  • Analyze unsatisfactory condition reports.
  • Manage configuration change requests and technical publications updates.
  • Collaborate on obsolescence reporting and sparing analysis.
  • Design structural/mechanical modifications and perform stress analysis.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

  • B.Eng. or BSc (Eng) in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
