Job summary

GDI Ainsworth is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients in a team-driven environment. You will manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, procurement, and client communications while ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.

The role involves coordinating internal teams, reviewing drawings, and delivering quality, on-time turnover packages with QA/QC oversight.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in mechanical construction or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of commercial/institutional mechanical systems and Alberta codes.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of mechanical construction projects (HVAC, plumbing, hydronic heating, refrigeration, retrofit).
• Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors and field staff; mentor junior team members.
• Review drawings and specifications for code compliance and quality.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, procurement, and contract administration including changes and RFIs.
• Act as primary client contact and maintain strong relationships.
