Edison Engineers seeks a Mechanical Project Manager for our Dundas office. You will lead mechanical projects from inception to completion, focusing on existing buildings, providing technical guidance, and acting as the main client contact to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years in mechanical engineering consulting, 2+ years in project management, and a P.Eng. or eligibility. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration across disciplines are essential.
We are seeking an experienced and driven Mechanical Project Manager to join our Mechanical team in our Dundas office.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion, with a primary focus on existing buildings. You will lead project delivery, provide technical guidance, and act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams while coaching and mentoring junior staff. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented environment through strong technical leadership, professionalism, and integrity.
Analyze complex building mechanical systems, identify deficiencies, evaluate risks, and develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions. Apply sound engineering judgment to make informed technical and project decisions while balancing client objectives, lifecycle costs, and operational requirements.
Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams through responsive, professional communication. Clearly convey complex technical information in reports, specifications, presentations, and day-to-day project coordination while actively listening to understand stakeholder needs.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously by developing detailed work plans, monitoring schedules and budgets, identifying risks, and maintaining organized project documentation to ensure successful project delivery.
Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams by coordinating with structural, electrical, architectural, and building envelope professionals, as well as contractors and clients, to achieve project objectives and resolve challenges efficiently.
Apply analytical thinking, creativity, and engineering expertise to improve mechanical system performance, develop innovative rehabilitation strategies, and deliver practical solutions for existing buildings.
Remain effective in a fast-paced consulting environment by adapting to changing priorities and project requirements while maintaining a high standard of quality, professionalism, and client service. Demonstrate ownership of project outcomes and a commitment to continuous improvement.
