Job summary

Maple Reinders Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Project Coordinator for our Civil division in Charlottetown, PEI. The role supports the project team across budgets, schedules, documentation, and procurement to deliver profitable, high-quality projects with a strong safety focus.

You will interface with owners, engineers, and sub-trades, manage equipment on-site, and assist with commissioning and tenders. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in project coordination and a Civil/Mechanical engineering

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years or more experience as a Project Coordinator in the construction industry.
  • A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, mechanical trade or a combination of education and industry experience.
  • Process mechanical experience is a MUST.
  • Valid drivers license and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing budgets and construction schedules, setting up project administration files.
  • With direction from the Project Manager, coordinate with Owner, Architect, Engineers, sub-trades and suppliers.
  • Management of purchased equipment and materials onsite in coordination with shop drawings, storage instructions and installation procedures.
  • Gain an understanding of how to select suppliers and sub-trades and obtaining quotations.
  • Assisting with and/or clarifying scope of work with sub-trades and suppliers.
  • Assisting in the planning, coordination and execution of various commissioning.
  • Developing successful relationships with current and prospective clients, consultants, realtors, and developers.
  • Ensuring there is a continuous focus on site safety in accordance with regulatory requirements as well as our Corporate Health and Safety Policy.
  • Attending site meetings and assisting in the completion of project deficiencies.
  • Closing tenders in consultation with senior managers.

Mechanical Project Coordinator (Civil Construction)

Maple Reinders Constructorsis currently searching for an Experienced MechanicalProject Coordinatorto join our Civil construction division inCharlottetown, PEI.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be a part of thePEI Energy Systems Waste to Energy Facility Renewal and Modernization Project.

As a Mechanical Project Coordinator in our Civil division, you will have the opportunity to support our project team in delivering heavy civil and industrial-type projects.In addition, you’ll support the project team with documentation, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling, while gaining exposure to various contract types such as Design-Build, Plan and Spec, and Construction Management.Your key responsibility is to help ensure projects are delivered profitably, to spec, with high quality and a strong focus on site safety.

In doing so, you will be involved in:

  • Assisting with and/or clarifying scope of work with sub-trades and suppliers

Qualifications/Skills:

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 / Year (depending on experience)

Location: Site based role in Charlottetown, PEI
