Job summary

Maple Reinders is seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent for the Duffin Creek WPCP project in Pickering, Ontario. You will oversee field staff, field engineering, and field teams to deliver projects in Water/Wastewater, Food & Beverage processing, and Clean Energy sectors.

Strong leadership and a proven track record in managing multi-trade crews are essential. The role requires travel or on-site presence near Pickering, with 3–5 years of superintendent experience and a CET, Red Seal,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction experience as a superintendent with a GC or multi-trade contractor
• Experience with Water/Wastewater, Food & Beverage, or Clean Energy projects
• Digester experience would be considered a strong asset
• Post-secondary education CET or equivalent, or a Red Seal Trade certification in a related field
• Proficiency with MS Office and Windows-based applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
• Ability to manage site operations on complex projects >$20 million
• Strong mechanical acumen

Maple Reinders is currently looking to add an experienced Mechanical Superintendent for the Duffin Creek WPCP project in Pickering, Ontario

As a Mechanical Superintendent with our Civil Division, you will oversee site staff, field engineering, and field teams accountable for delivering completed projects with a focus on Water/Wastewater, Food & Beverage processing facilities, and Clean Energy infrastructure. • Direct field operations in the delivery of projects by adhering to schedules, budgets, safety and risk
• Effectively manage field employees by providing guidance and leadership on construction activities and developing effective communication between field and other project staff
• Develop and execute project work plans aimed at keeping projects on track and on budget
• Provide senior level presence in the field, coach field staff on issue resolution, review site labour requirements, mentor field staff and perform succession planning

Our Mechanical Superintendent will oversee projects that vary in size and scope, and the successful candidate should have previous experience in leading construction teams, trades and hourly employees. We would require the Superintendent to travel or stay close to the site; flexibility is a must. We are also focused on candidates who currently have:

• 3 to 5 years of construction experience as a superintendent with a General Contractor or a multi-trade contractor
• Experience with Water/Wastewater, Food & Beverage, or Clean Energy projects
• Digester experience would be considered a very strong asset
• Post-secondary education, CET or equivalent, or a Red Seal Trade certification in a related field
• Proficiency with MS Office and Windows based computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project)
• Can manage site operations on complex projects in excess of $20 million
• Strong mechanical acumen

Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,000 / Year (depending on experience)
