We are currently looking for a Mechanical Project Coordinator in Southwest Ontario (Hamilton) .

The mission of the Project Coordinator is to support the Project Manager by managing project documentation, budgets, submittals, purchase orders, and site documentation such as RFIs, CCNs, and shop drawings, ensuring timely delivery and posting to the jobsite.

Overview of Responsibilities :

  • Assist project managers in obtaining and managing shop drawings from manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare, log, and distribute shop drawings and ensure approval and proper distribution.
  • Prepare and obtain information for O&M manuals from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Manage and distribute all project-related documents and drawings.
  • Enter budget data and set up in Timberline or similar systems.
  • Update project data systems, including change orders and project closeout documentation.
  • Apply company-specific procedures to daily tasks.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of mechanical project coordination experience in construction.
  • Experience working in construction, especially field work, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., Procore).
  • Attention to detail, strong reading and writing skills.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resourceful problem-solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work in office and field settings.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle for site visits.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
