Job summary

Hatch in Mississauga is seeking a Mechanical Package Engineer to lead mechanical equipment packages from specification through commissioning. You will prepare specifications, datasheets, requisitions, and scope of supply documents, and evaluate vendor bids while supporting equipment selection and award.

The role requires a B.Sc. or B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering, P.Eng eligibility, and 3+ years in EPCM or heavy industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• P.Eng designation or eligibility is required or non-registered equivalent.
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience in EPCM, consulting, mining, metals, energy, oil & gas, or heavy industrial or OEM projects.
• Experience managing mechanical equipment packages through engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned mechanical equipment packages from specification through commissioning.
• Prepare equipment specifications, datasheets, requisitions, and scope of supply documents.
• Evaluate vendor bids, lead technical clarifications, and support equipment selection and award.
• Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, manufacturing documents, and deliverables.
• Coordinate package interfaces with process, piping, structural, electrical, controls, and construction teams.
