About the job Mechanical (HVAC) Project Lead

We're looking for a motivated individual to join our Mechanical Division as a Mechanical (HVAC) Project Lead. This person will oversee HVAC system design for multi-unit residential buildings, manage project budgets and schedules, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure project milestones are met. The role requires strong communication, organization, and leadership skills, as well as expertise in mechanical engineering and relevant software.

Job Description:Position: Mechanical Project Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing fee proposals and project budgets
• Collaborate with the project team to develop design briefs
• Manage project costs, scope, quality, and timelines
• Attend design meetings and create meeting minutes
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure project deliverables and milestones are achieved
• Oversee construction support activities, including reviewing shop drawings and coordinating site instructions
• Assist with project verification and final sign-offs
• Provide construction site reviews when necessary

Skills / Qualifications:

• College Diploma in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering
• Familiarity with provincial and municipal design guidelines and codes
• Experience in designing mechanical systems for multi-unit residential buildings preferred
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Autodesk software (CAD & REVIT)
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Commitment to professional development and growth
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Capacity to mentor and train junior staff members
