Job summary

MatchBox Consulting Group in Canada is seeking a Mechanical Foreman – Special Projects to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working directly with clients, consultants and trade partners on Lower Mainland assignments.

The role requires strong leadership, coordination of labour, materials, schedules and subcontractors across sites, with healthcare experience seen as a major asset. Salary ranges from $105,000 to $135,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Plumber, HVAC, or Mechanical Trades certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a Mechanical Foreman, Site Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
• Experience managing commercial, institutional, healthcare, or tenant improvement projects.
• Proven ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and sheet metal.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience coordinating labour, subcontractors, and project logistics.
• Healthcare project experience is considered a major asset.
• Valid BC Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple mechanical projects concurrently from startup through closeout.
• Coordinate and supervise field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.
• Coordinate plumbing, HVAC, and sheet metal installations across active projects.
• Procure materials and manage deliveries to site.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address challenges to maintain schedules.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Conduct site meetings and maintain clear communication between stakeholders.
• Support project turnover, deficiencies, and closeout activities.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within project execution and field operations.

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Mechanical Foreman – Special Projects on behalf of a growing and reputable mechanical contractor in the Lower Mainland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Foreman who enjoys managing multiple projects simultaneously while working directly with clients, consultants, and trade partners. The successful candidate will join a collaborative Special Projects team responsible for delivering mechanical projects ranging from $100K to $1M across commercial, institutional, healthcare, and tenant improvement environments.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a proven ability to coordinate labour, materials, schedules, and subcontractors across multiple active sites. Experience working within healthcare facilities would be considered a significant asset.
