Job summary

Megaresistors Corp. in Mississauga is seeking a manufacturing engineer to create instructions, repair and maintain machinery, assist in inspection of installations, and help design moulds, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures using CAD/CAM.

You will supervise maintenance programs and test equipment in a busy on-site facility. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, College/CEGEP education, and strong computer and technology knowledge, including Mastercam CAD/CAM and CNC machines.

Qualifications

• 3 years to less than 5 years of experience.
• College/CEGEP education required.
• On-site work at physical location; no remote option.

Responsibilities

• Create manufacturing instructions.
• Repair and maintain machinery.
• Assist in inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects.
• Assist in the design of moulds, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures.
• Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials.
• CAD (Computer-aided design).
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings and specifications.
• Prepare standards and schedules.
• Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants.
• Supervise, monitor and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects.
• Test machines and equipment.
