Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering student to work within our Metal-Enclosed Switchgear Product Team. The successful candidate will support various products manufactured at S&C, gaining exposure to engineering design principles and manufacturing techniques.

Work Term: Fall 2025 (4, 8, or 12 months available)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Work Location: 90 Belfield, Etobicoke M9W 1G4

Responsibilities

• Drawing revisions using Microstation 2D and Solid Edge 3D CAD software
• Investigating design change requests
• Custom product design to meet customer requirements
• Assisting with projects to improve internal processes

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering Diploma/Degree
• Registered in a co-op program, available for Fall 2025
• Proficient in Visual Basic, including working with multidimensional arrays, transferring information across sheets, debugging, and error handling
• Some CAD experience; familiarity with AutoCAD, Microstation, or Solid Edge is a strong asset
• Excellent communication skills and a team player
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
