About the job Mechanical Engineering Designer
The MED will play a lead role in designing and verifying suitability of new products as well as updating existing products.
Maintaining our production control system, our technical publications (Operators and Parts Manuals) and our Standard Operating Procedures.
The MED will utilize their technical and organizational skills along with their practical knowledge, welding, fabrication and assembly processes to develop and maintain the systems that support the production operations.
Perform physical testing on engineering prototypes.
Ensures compliance with approved design standards to provide quality design, safety, constructability, reliable operation, construction economy, and operating convenience.
The MED, in conjunction with the Supervisors will monitor, audit and ensure that our Standard Operating Procedures are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
This position could Lead into managing an Engineering department. This would include assigning duties, supervising and providing guidance, training and coaching as required.
They will participate in functional and safety audits of our operations.
