Job summary

ANDRITZ Hydro Canada is seeking a mechanical engineering student to support the design team in creating 3D models and 2D drawings, and to prepare parts lists. You will review drawings for accuracy, assist with documentation and meetings, and help gather information for ongoing projects.

The role emphasises independent work, organizational skills, and proactive collaboration in a fast-paced environment within a leading hydroelectric equipment manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in your second or third year of mechanical engineering studies.
• Have completed, or be in the process of completing, university courses in statics and dynamics, materials and strength of materials, as well as fluid mechanics.
• Be highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude (3D conceptualization and perception, mechanism assembly, knowledge of mechanical connection and locking elements, practical applications).
• Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and changing priorities.
• Good communication skills & interpersonal skills.
