Mechanical Engineer - Temporary Assignment

Job Description

As part of a cross-functional, multi-discipline team, this 6-month, full-time, temporary position for a Mechanical Engineer Project Lead involves the engineering and design of mechanical systems and equipment. Responsibilities include coordination with internal departments, NOV organizations, external customers, and consultants. The role also encompasses leading design certification, regulatory reviews, code compliance, and documentation.

We seek an experienced Mechanical Engineer with expertise in hydraulic systems, oilfield service equipment design and operation, engineering design, and structural analysis.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, calculations, analysis, modeling, and drafting to meet technical and customer requirements.
  • Apply design control and verification processes.
  • Support production of well servicing equipment with technical expertise.
  • Develop and improve products and testing methods.
  • Review feedback to enhance designs.
  • Supervise Mechanical Designers/Drafters in producing detailed drawings.
  • Provide engineering support to internal departments.
  • Coordinate with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Participate in meetings and review contracts and technical documents.
  • Generate technical manuals and publications.
  • Perform other tasks to meet customer and company goals.
Education and Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ years in engineering design and structural analysis.
  • Experience in hydraulic systems preferred.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with oilfield service equipment is an asset.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD; AutoCAD knowledge is an asset.

HSE Requirements
  • Indoor work environment.
