*VTEK Consulting Group Inc*. has *over 25 years *of experience in the *oil and gas industry. *Recently, our firm has experienced *unprecedented growth*, establishing us as a *leader *in the industry.We are currently seeking a *Mechanical Engineer *to join our dynamic team and contribute to one of our major client projects.*WHY VTEK:** *Competitive Salary:* Receive an annual salary that stands out from the market and is based on experience.* *Comprehensive Benefits:* Enjoy a full package for group insurance.* *Pension Fund:* Benefit from a pension fund with employer contribution.* *Flexible Hours:* Flexible working hours.* *Paid Sick Days:* Paid sick days.* *Christmas Closure:* Closed for a few days for Christmas holidays.* *Structured Recruitment:* We have a structured recruitment system in place to ease the hiring process.*YOUR MISSIONS:*Reporting to the Lead of Mechanical Engineering, the Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the following:* Provide Mechanical engineering as assigned with ability to stamp engineering designs and specifications within the applicable jurisdiction;* Review, approve and stamp Mechanical engineered work packages as required;* Ensure any engineering work package issued, regardless of phase, is complete, and verified,* Ensure technical accuracy, and soundness of the method applied to engineering calculations, compliance to regulatory requirements, as it applies to project deliverables and owner requirements;* Coordinate its work with all stakeholders to deliver an integrated engineering work package;* Assist to provide the governance, to establish and implement VTEK policies, standards, procedures for its Electrical & Instrumentation engineering and design team;* Identify, during review, technical problems and resolve them accordingly;* Participate in the design of plans, specifications and details based on recommendations from the API 653 Inspection Report as part of a Petroleum Storage Tank Repair Project;* Carry out verification and validation calculations, and ensure that the plans meet the client's requirements as well as the requirements of the codes and other regulations;* Provide engineering mitigation strategies to any risks or issues;* Ensure lessons learned, continuous improvement initiatives, and best practices are applied;* Review project proposals and analyze engineering parameters and feasibility for stakeholder needs;* Be familiar with the latest engineering design principles, materials and best practices and apply;* Assist and work with the technicians and draftsmen and junior staff assigned to the projects.*IDEAL CANDIDATE:** Bachelor?s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University;* Minimum of 10 years in the oil and gas sector;* P.Eng designation required;* Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards to ensure compliance.*If you?re ready to advance your career with a dynamic and expanding company, apply now to join VTEK Consulting Group Inc. and play a key role in our growth and success!*Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00-$130,000.00 per yearEducation:* Bachelor's Degree (required)Experience:* Mechanical engineering: 8 years (required)Licence/Certification:* P.eng license (required)Work Location: In person
