Job summary

Groupe Paco in Quebec's South Shore is seeking a Mechanical Development Project Engineer to lead multiple development projects, guiding engineering choices and monitoring from conception to commissioning.

You will supervise designers, coordinate with production and quality teams, and apply strong mechanical expertise to solve complex problems. A bachelor's degree and 5+ years' experience are expected, with a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

You will be responsible for guiding engineering choices, coordinating the various development stages, and monitoring projects through to commissioning.You will have a team of designers and specialists to handle detailed design and modeling, allowing you to focus on technical direction, engineering decisions, and project success.To succeed in this role, you must possess strong mechanical expertise and be recognized for your sound technical judgment. You must be able to analyze complex problems, make informed decisions, and guide teams toward the best solutions.

Required Technical Competencies:

• Materials strength calculations
• Selection of mechanical components (motors, bearings, materials, etc.)
• Analysis of complex mechanical systems

In terms of responsibilities:
