Job summary

Amaris Consulting is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team. You will develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for water and wastewater systems, ensuring compliance with standards and supporting manufacturing and installation.

With 5+ years CAD experience, proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD Plant 3D, you will work independently on BOP and skid designs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to project execution and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years CAD design experience.
• Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS (Routing, Weldments) and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Experience with Balance of Plant (BOP) or skid design for water/wastewater systems.
• Strong drafting standards knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Experience mentoring junior designers.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D CAD models and drawings for water/wastewater systems.
• Produce 2D fabrication drawings, spool drawings, piping isometrics, and BOMs.
• Ensure designs meet project specs and standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate designs.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and design changes.
• Support design reviews and implement feedback.
• Work independently with high accuracy and efficiency.
• Help ensure timely project delivery with quality deliverables.
