Position: Senior Machine Designer / Engineer

Core responsibilities include:

1. Analyzing machine designs and specifications.
2. Concepting and designing production machinery and solutions.
3. Assisting sales during the concepting phase for solutions applications.

Machines

Designing small special purpose assembly machines to large converting machines.

• Knowledge of motion methods (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
• Understanding of Design for Manufacture and Maintenance.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in machine design for converting or packaging equipment, with several machines credited to your design portfolio.
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with software expertise.
• Ability to conceive designs involving movement, translation, and processing of paper and packaged goods.
• Proficiency in engineering calculations related to strength, speed, horsepower, pressure, and force.
• Ability to analyze engineering drawings and specifications for shape, dimensions, and hardness.
• Proficiency with Motion Analyzer software is an asset.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of managing multiple projects.
• Knowledge of estimating is an asset.
• Located within 45 minutes of Brantford preferred.
