Stantec in Calgary is seeking a Mechanical Construction Administrator to join our Buildings Business Unit, delivering projects in Alberta. You will interpret and administer construction contracts, oversee the construction phase from award to turnover, and collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and administer construction contracts and ensure project work is completed per contract documents, drawings and specs
• Serve as liaison between engineers, architects, owner, project managers, GC, subconsultants and other stakeholders during construction
• Chair construction meetings, prepare minutes, identify issues and escalate to leadership as needed
• Manage RFIs, maintain logs, coordinate reviews with architects/engineers and contractors
• Review submittals (shop drawings, data, samples) for conformance and coordinate comments
• Conduct site visits to observe progress, document deficiencies, and coordinate corrective action
• Monitor construction schedule, track critical path, and communicate updates and risks to the project team
• Coordinate change processes, prepare site instructions and change orders, assist in change pricing
• Review progress payments, verify quantities and support payments as required
• Support warranty period activities, verify repairs, and coordinate turnover documentation and closeout
