As a Diesel Mechanic - Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech II - CES), you'll perform maintenance and repairs on customer owned equipment in a safe and professional manner. You can improve and challenge yourself daily, with potential to advance to higher-level Tech roles in our Service Department. Providing exceptional customer service is essential.

What You'll Do

• Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer equipment and tools
• Maintain documentation of work performed (work orders) accurately and promptly
• Upsell and demonstrate a variety of complex equipment to customers
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance when required; keep service vehicle clean and professional
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• 1-2 years of experience repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment or trade school graduate
• Own tools applicable to the position
• Knowledge of construction equipment and basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs frequently

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals' policies.
