Job summary

Windsor Salt’s Ojibway Mine in Windsor, Ontario, has openings for Journeyman Machine Repairpersons who will maintain stationary and mobile industrial machinery in a fast-paced environment.

Accredited Skilled Trades Ontario program is required (421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or 310T Truck and Coach Technician). Positions may be on surface or underground; shifts include days, afternoons, and midnights, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of mechanic experience is preferred.
• Lock Out/Tag Out knowledge and procedures required.
• Proficient in hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
• Proficient with diesel engines, welding, and cutting.

Responsibilities

• Operate mining equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete inspections, timecards, and reports.
• Communicate status updates with team and supervisors.
• Support hoist/shaft work as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment faults and read schematics.
