Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of specialized trade or occupational courses from a community college or equivalent.
• Trade certification as an Automotive Service Technician (310T) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Valid G Driver's License with a clear Driver's Abstract that meets insurance requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and collision repairs effectively.
• Proficiency in English for communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and install parts on delivery vehicles and equipment to ensure proper function and safety.
• Conduct maintenance and repairs, order parts, and update work orders while communicating with suppliers and operations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and report quality control issues, determining their cause and necessary repairs.

• Coordinate administrative requirements for preventative maintenance and provide emergency road service when vehicles break down.

Our client, a leading logistics and freight services provider, is seeking a Mechanic to join their team. As a Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:Mechanic class A

Location: 62 Vulcan Street, Etobicoke, ON

Pay:$45.26/hour

Shift:Monday to Friday: 5:30pm to 2:00am (40 hours/week)
