Job summary

Fountain Tire Drayton Valley is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. You will diagnose vehicle issues, perform repairs, conduct routine maintenance, and ensure services meet manufacturer specifications in a safe, client-friendly shop.

Qualifications

• Licensed/Red Seal status in the Automotive Service Technician trade.
• 2+ years of automotive experience.
• Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and ability to service customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions on customers' vehicles.
• Perform repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete approved service on customer vehicles.
• Test and adjust vehicle systems to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair needs.
• Maintain servicing equipment on a regular basis.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe manner.

You will get to:

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries

What does it take to get on track?

• Licensed/Red Seal status in the Automotive Service Technician trade
• 2+ years of automotive experience
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers
• A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology
• The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis
