Job summary

Choices Market Ltd in South Surrey is seeking a Part-time Meat Cutter to join our team. You will cut, trim and prepare a variety of meat and fish cuts, while ensuring shelves are stocked and displays are appealing.

You will also manage inventory and respond to customer inquiries with a friendly, service-oriented approach. The ideal candidate has experience cutting meat and/or fish, is engaging and hardworking, and comfortable standing in a cold environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in cutting meat and/or fish.
• Engaging and friendly, with a positive attitude.
• Service-oriented and comfortable talking to customers.
• Hardworking and a good team player.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand all day.
• Willing to work in a cold environment and at least one weekend day per week.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim and prepare a variety of meat and fish cuts.
• Ensure shelves and displays are stocked and well presented.
• Manage inventory and maintain high quality.
• Represent sale items on shelves and displays.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries.
• Clean retail areas and workspaces daily.

Part Time Meat Cutter

Choices Market at South Surrey currently has an opening for a Part-time Meat Cutter. We are looking for a service-oriented individual who is looking for a job with great growth potential!

The Meat Cutter’s responsibilities include:

• cutting, trimming and preparing a variety of meat and fish cuts;
• ensuring shelves and displays are fully stocked and well presented;
• managing inventory and ensuring consistent high quality;
• ensuring items on sale are well represented on shelves and in displays;
• responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries; and
• cleaning retail areas and workspaces on a daily basis.

The ideal employee for this position is:

• experienced in cutting meat and/or fish;
• engaging and friendly, with an unfailingly good attitude;
• service-oriented, and comfortable talking to customers;
• hardworking and a good team player;
• comfortable in a physically demanding job and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs; and
• willing and physically capable of standing on their feet all day.

The ability and willingness to work in a cold environment is absolutely essential. Applicants must also be willing and able to work at least one weekend day per week.

Wage: $22.75/hr
