Job summary

North Central Co-op is hiring a part-time Meat Clerk for our Station Square Food Store in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. You’ll deliver friendly service, wrap meats, rotate stock, and maintain clean work areas in a fast-paced department.

Open availability is an asset; previous retail/meat experience is helpful. We offer competitive wages, pension contributions, and opportunities for growth within our member-owned cooperative.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience; meat department experience is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and capable in a busy setting.
• Efficient and accurate work under time pressure.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
• Comfortable with handling all types of meat and products.
• Honest, trustworthy and goal‑oriented.
• Value collaboration and delivering practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly service to customers in the Meat Department
• Wrap, label and package prepared meats
• Ensure proper product rotation and freshness
• Face, fill and organize product items on display
• Disassemble and assemble department machinery for cleaning
• Wash cooler and prep room floors daily
• Clean and sanitize cutting blocks daily
• Monitor case temperatures and clean equipment
• Perform other housecleaning duties as needed

What you’ll do:
