Job summary

Winpak Ltd. is seeking an Assistant to join the MBVS department in Winnipeg on a 12-hour rotating shift. The role provides support to the Multibarrier cast lines and/or slitter line, helping maintain product quality, output, and scrap standards on the production floor.

Responsibilities include assisting operators, basic maintenance, safety checks, documentation, housekeeping, and operating forklifts and material handling equipment. This position is 100% onsite at Murray Industrial Park.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience communicating with team members (verbal and written).
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts including days and nights.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (22.5 kg).
• 6+ months of experience with hand and/or power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operators with the preparation of all orders for the shift and running of the Multibarrier or slitter line.
• Assist with simple and regular routine maintenance of the equipment under supervision.
• Conduct routine safety, quality and housekeeping checks.
• Assist in completing department documentation as assigned.
• Maintain the department and surrounding areas following 5S standards.
• Operate forklift equipment and material handling equipment such as overhead hoists and roll manipulators.
• Perform duties in compliance with ISO 9001 and SQF Code.
