Job summary

Oxford Learning Oakville Uptown Core is seeking a Part-time Math Education Coordinator to join our in-person team. You will work closely with the Centre Director to deliver math instruction up to Grade 10, while coordinating schedules, assessments, and student programs.

You must reside within Oakville or nearby areas, have a university degree with math credits preferred, and enjoy engaging parents and students in a dynamic learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum university degree with credits in Math preferred.
  • Experience in educational environments and interacting with students, staff and parents.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with MS Office and online tools.

Responsibilities

  • Teach math concepts up to Grade 10 in an in-person setting.
  • Organize schedules for students and staff and set up assessments.
  • Coordinate learning programs and liaise with schools, teams, and local businesses.
  • Maintain contact with parents and discuss student progress.
  • Support delivery of the Oxford Learning philosophy in daily operations.
  • Create a positive and energetic learning environment for students.

Part-Time Math Education Coordinator Wanted

Location: Oxford Learning Oakville Uptown-Core

Applicants must reside in Oakville, Missisauga, Burlington, Milton, or within a 20-minute commute from our location.

Job details:

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online job. Relocation packages are not available.Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Responsibilities (Position Details):

As the EducationCoordinator at Oxford Learning Uptown Core, you are required to have a strong understanding of math and be able to teach math concepts up to the Grade 10 level.

You will:

  • communicate your experiences of how students understand math concepts differently and explain patternsin their learning.
  • demonstrate how you teach concepts to students using different visual tools and strategies.
  • participate in the centre's operations, including working with multiple people from centre staff to teachers, to parents, and of course, the students!

You will work directly with the Centre Director as a key staff member with the following responsibilities:

  • help inform inquiring parents about our Oxford Learning programs
  • organize schedules for students, staff, and teachers
  • set up and administer assessments
  • establish and oversee student learning programs
  • liaise with members of the community (schools, sports teams, and local businesses)
  • maintain contact with parents and meeting with them to discuss their child's progress
  • ensure that the Oxford Learning philosophy is being maintained throughout the centre
  • create a fun and energetic learning environment on a daily basis
  • effectively master the Oxford Learning Teaching philosophy as well as coach other teaching members of the team

Education:

  • Minimum university degree (Credits in Math preferred)
  • Additional language(s) spoken is an asset

Experience:

  • Work in an educational environment dealing with medium to large student bodies
  • Work in a business environment is an asset
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, online communication apps)
  • Strong phone skills and experience in customer service (experience in sales is preferred)

Job Type: Part-time

Salary:$19 - $22/ hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday evenings
  • Saturday availability
