Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Section Chief, Materials & Processes Engineering, Operation Support at the Marcel-Laurin Plant in Saint-Laurent, QC. You will lead the Materials & Processes Engineering team supporting production of aircraft primary structures within an IPDT, driving technical leadership and process improvement.

Candidates bring a bachelor’s or master’s in mechanical or materials engineering and 10+ years in aerospace, plus strong leadership, communication, and project-management skills;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical or materials engineering.
• 10+ years of aerospace experience.
• Broad knowledge of materials and processes for aircraft structures.
• Strong leadership and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers supporting manufacturing of aircraft primary structures.
• Plan, oversee, coordinate, and prioritize activities to meet quality, schedule and budget objectives.
• Provide technical leadership to team members to satisfy program requirements.
• Set individual goals aligned with company objectives.
• Apply Bombardier Operational Excellence to improve processes and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with other departments, customers, and major partners/suppliers.
• Provide visibility on execution, issues, and escalations to supervisor.
• Maintain knowledge of materials and process developments relevant to the role.
• Support manpower planning and budget preparation.
• Drive continuous improvement in the sector and optimize production delivery.
