Job summary

Magna International in Penetanguishene, Ontario is seeking a Production Planner to join the Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting group. You will use ERP to create master schedules, monitor progress, and coordinate with production teams to meet shipping dates.

Qualified candidates have a Grade 12 diploma (or equivalent), proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and CPIM is a plus. The role offers an engaging environment with strong safety culture, competitive benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma and/or equivalent college or university education.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, Excel is a must.
• CPIM certification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Use of ERP create master schedule sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders to their assigned production department;
• Monitor the production process and determine status of assigned schedules;
• Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
• Effect changes to production schedule to ensure that production deadlines are met
• Prepares production reports;
• Ensures customer demands are satisfied while avoiding premium shipments;
• Communicates inefficiencies and/or bottlenecks to the appropriate Manager or Supervisor;
• Ensures that all environmental requirements are identified and addressed when performing duties.
• Ensure that all safety requirements are being carried out when performing duties.
• Provide support for the continuous improvement initiatives within Techform.
• Provide support in the attainment of Techform's operating system goals as outlined by the key graphs.

Job Responsibilities:

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) would be advantageous
