Job summary

Magna Seating, part of Magna International, seeks a qualified professional for our Mississauga area facility. The role centers on production planning, inventory control and MRP operations within a dynamic automotive environment.

You should hold a Bachelor's degree with 3–5 years of related experience, plus SAP ERP proficiency and strong MS Office skills. Collaboration tools such as Outlook/Teams/Slack are used regularly.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Preferred: APICS CPIM/CSCP certification is highly desirable.
  • Industry tenure: 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in production planning, inventory management, or MRP operations.
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel for data analysis and Word for documentation).
  • Familiarity with modern collaboration tools (Outlook/Teams/Slack).

Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety Responsibilities: Adhere to and follow all company and supplier health & safety policies, practices and rules for the workplace.
  • Comply with legislative requirements of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Workplace Safety & Insurance Act, including the Duties of a worker, Supervisor and Duties of the Employer as outlined in the OHSA and related acts.

Job Responsibilities

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Education & Certifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Professional certification from APICS (e.g., CPIM or CSCP) is highly desirable and preferred.
  • Industry Tenure: 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in production planning, inventory management, or MRP operations.
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred, as per job duties).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel for data analysis and Word for documentation).
  • Familiarity with modern collaboration tools (transitioning from legacy systems like Lotus Notes to Outlook/Teams/Slack).
