THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Planner to support the production team. You will work in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines, requiring extended periods of sitting at a computer and phone; specific responsibilities may vary by company and role.

In this position, you will assist in planning, coordinating, and scheduling production activities to meet customer demand and business objectives. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Materials Team with data entry and maintaining the cycle count program and inventory levels, as well as allocating jobs to customer requirements. The contract is for 6 month and position is located in Brantford, Ontario.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in maintaining accurate records and reports, including inventory levels
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
  • Create Cycle Counts from a set schedule, Enter Cycle data into ERP systems and maintain documentation of the program
  • Light 3rd party planning and releasing of orders to vendors
  • Perform other related duties as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a scheduling or planning role
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required post-secondary education in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with ERP / MRP systems is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
