Southern Health-Santé Sud is seeking a Materials Management Technician Non-Certified to support Portage Regional Health Centre. The role covers ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment across the region, including driving between sites to fulfill requests.

The incumbent provides patient-centered service, maintains accurate records and adheres to WHMIS, TDG and safety guidelines while working in a fast-paced team environment.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Lead - Supply Chain Management, the Materials Management Technician Non-Certified provides customer service to Southern Health-Santé Sud sites and programs. The incumbent is responsible for the ordering, receiving, storage, distribution, and delivery of supplies and equipment for facilities in the region, which also includes driving from site to site.

The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.

Experience
  • Minimum one-year (1) relevant experience in a Supply Chain environment.
  • Previous experience working with MS Dynamics GP is considered an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Grade 12 Education.
