Job summary

Slegg Building Materials in Victoria is seeking a Delivery Helper to assist with the safe transportation of building materials and their placement on customer job sites. The role supports the team to exceed customer expectations, with shifts Monday to Friday and wages of CAD 22–25 per hour plus piecework.

Qualifications

• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving abstract is an asset.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Basic hand tool skills.
• Completion of high school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the assigned area while prioritizing safety.
• Communicate professionally with customers and co-workers on job sites.
• Deliver materials to customer satisfaction with emphasis on safety and efficiency.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and resolve issues as they arise.
• Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed.
• Report all accidents or injuries.
• Verify load security and accuracy.
• Act as a company ambassador with all employees and customers.
• Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
